How do I remove formatting from text?
Leave Input type set to Text or rich paste, paste your content and choose Convert to plain text. Copy the result or download a .txt file.
Can I convert HTML to text?
Yes. Choose HTML source and paste the markup. The converter reads a detached, inert fragment in your browser; it does not execute the markup or fetch linked pages.
Does plain text still contain Unicode?
Yes. Accented letters, non-Latin scripts and emoji are plain text too. The optional Unicode cleanup removes supported hidden artifacts; it does not convert everything to ASCII.
Can it extract text from a PDF or a URL?
It accepts pasted text and HTML source. It does not upload PDFs, perform OCR or fetch web pages. Copy text from your source document first.
Does converting to plain text remove AI watermarks?
Formatting removal does not address statistical text watermarks. This tool does not rewrite wording or provide an AI detection score.
